System Operations Engineer 

(Code: SOE)

We are developing and deploying mission-critical systems and applications at a breakneck speed. We are looking for talented system operations engineers to make sure that deployed applications and systems are constantly running and serving our customers.

Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and fluid environment. You will bring passion, energy, creativity, and fun to your work. You will enjoy solving problems and take pride in owning flawlessly running systems.

Key Responsibilities

    * Perform hardware and software setup and configuration to meet expected traffic load

    * Monitor traffic performance on a daily basis and troubleshoot all related technical issues causing less-than-perfect outcomes

    * Continually assess system performance, identify performance bottlenecks, and fix them

    * Help design and implement scalable systems

    * In short, ensure high system uptime and performance

Required Skills and Qualities

    * Bachelor’s/S1 degree in Computer Science or related field

    * 4 years of experience implementing massively scalable system in a linux environment

    * Strong experience with open source platforms

    * Experience in shell scripting

    * Knowledge of SQL

    * Familiar with J2EE technologies and containers (Tomcat, ActiveMQ, JBOSS, etc.)

    * High-level attention to details

    * High-level of energy
