International Women's Day
Since 1975, International Year of Women, International Women's Day is celebrated on 8 March to commemorate the historic struggle to improve women's lives. " It is celebrated around the world locally and nationally.The theme of International Women's Day for 2006 is "Women in decision-making: meeting challenges, creating change".
