New Stuff, Gift Ideas & More

Uppfräschningsprojekt för Purple Area

Jag tänkte berätta om ett eget projekt som jag jobbat med i vintras. Ett kontor för ca 20 personer behövde förnyas och fräschas upp. Så här såg det ut när jag kom dit första gången på besök. .Kontorsrummen ligger längs kanterna med varsin lång korridor utanför. Så här på vårkanten är Tirups Örtagård utanför Staffanstorp ett skönt utflyktsmål. Stort urval av både örter och andra växter. Vacker omgivning med kafé med ljuvligt hembakt, en härlig annorlunda lekplats för barnen och naturligtvis deras visningsörtagård. I stumbled upon a wonderful Swedish kitchen cabinet manufacturer as I was searching relentlessly for inspiration for my own kitchen renovation. I fell in love with the photos. I just finished doing a really fun project! I did a "Paintable". You can see them here: IOD Silhouette Gem Frame Fleurish. You just print them out (either on paper or a transparency) and paint them (you should either print them on a laser printer or print with ink jet then make a copy of it on a copier - unless your ink jet uses water-proof ink). I used Staedtler watercolor pencils and a Tombow

Fantasifullt

The Color Red!

The color red, famous on Swedish Country exteriors also shows up again and again in Swedish interiors. It offers a fresh look when paired with white and is also used in simple florals, checked, and striped fabrics. It adds the punch to rooms which by nature tend to be subdued. Light colored floors and walls really reflect the light and adding the contrast of red allows a vibrancy to a room. Here

Vilken bra idé!

Elle Interiör har en tävling där det gäller att komma med den bästa göra-om-idén. Av flera bidrag har de tagit ut 10 som man kan rösta på. Vita golv - hur göra?

Inget ont om våra svenska ekparketter, men titta så snyggt det blir med ett vitt golv. Men det är inte helt problemfritt, för vilka alternativ finns. The Swedish Dining Room

Lets have a look at a few Swedish influenced Dining Rooms. There are a few elements you can add to give your room that Swedish touch. This feels very Swedish, yet does not use the trademark "gustavian gray" furniture. How to Incorporate the Swedish Style

Many of you have asked how to incorporate the Swedish Style into your own homes. You do not need to have rooms exclusively with one period or style. It is best to mix things up a bit to add interest into your room. Notice the examples below. This room has a traditional feel, but notice the Mora Clock and Swedish style bench. Brios lekfulla kontor

För några dagar sedan hade jag möjlighet att besöka Brios huvudkontor i Malmö. De fick för några år sedan 'Guldstolen' av Sveriges Arkitekter för sin uppfinningsrika inredning. Enligt Hemmariket var det tydligen romantiska rosor som dominerade på Formex. Turning Torso Gallery - värd ett besök

I ett hus bredvid Malmös stora skyskrapa Turning Torso finns stans största restaurang Torso Twisted som är hela 700 kvm stor och absolut värd ett besök om du gillar god mat och hipp inredning. I den lilla gallerian bredvid finns även Showroom Scandinavia med annorlunda lampor från Spanien och Italien.
