La fiesta
Even though Cinco de mayo is not celebrated here, I have friends who have just moved to Mexico and I am thinking of them today... Both their kids attended the same preschool as mine, and the little girl was in same class as my four year-old son until a few days ago, when they left... just before the swine flu outbreak. Grab your masks
Hang some balloons, toss confetti all over the room and listen to some samba or jazz (is that what they play in New Orleans for Mardi Gras?) over this weekend, it is Mardi Gras! Or Carnival as we call it. I am not a fan of Carnival, but since it is such a big event in Brazil I did not want to let it go unnoticed.

Japanese Crown Prince Naruhito is visiting the country to take part in the celebrations. An anniversary that certainly has a significant role in our country today.

My first Mother's Day
I became a mom ten years ago and my oldest son was only a week old... time flies... Yes, he turned 10 this week... The other day we were shopping for Winter clothes and he wanted to try on the clothes alone in the dressing room. I told him I'd be waiting at the cashier... lost count of how many times I turned around to check if he was coming...You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
